Professional Bodies Supporting the Gaming Industry

UKIE
UKIE stands for UK Interactive Entertainment. It is a non-profit organisation that provides support for people within the gaming industry. They are trying to make the UK a better place for people to develop and publish video games, and let the industry grow.

IGDA stands for International Game Developers Association. It is an international non-profit organisation that is built up of people of all kinds within the gaming industry. They try to address big issues, help people connect with others in the industry, and improve the quality of their lives.

WIGJ
WIGJ stands for Women in Games Jobs. It is a non-profit organisation that is trying to get more women into the gaming industry. They are trying to make the industry more diverse, and make it more appealing to women who are interested in video game development.

BAFTA
BAFTA stands for The British Academy of Film and Television Arts. It holds award ceremonies for film, TV, and since 2004, video games. The award ceremonies reward game companies for developing outstanding and innovative games, and provides motivation to do well in the industry.

MEF stands for Mobile Entertainment Forum. It helps companies to put their products or any services onto the mobile platform, and monetize it. It tries to address problems on mobile, and make it more sustainable to use.
